I’ll measure the center pin on the SMA’s. Gotta go to the store and get a battery. My meter is dead. LolSo no indication of a difference.
It's still handy to go for an external SMA connector. Then I guess measuring the resistance between both ports is the only quick check you can do to know if it's usefull to do both. Mine had no mentional resistance between them.
Your link shows the FGR4B. I can't confirm it has 2 ports, only seen it for the non-B version. I don't have the B version.apologies for dreging up a way old thread, i need some clarification on the receiver series FGR4 V2, am i interpreting this correctly that even though one antenna is fitted in item specifics, inside the receiver there is a second port for adding an additional antenna eg the 600mm for extended range capability?

and replace both the antenna with the aforementioned 600mm units?
Sorry for the questions but nowhere have i seen pics or a vid of someone replacing the antenna or showing the inside of the rx case detailing the replacement or addition of a second antenna.
my apologies @rotauq, i may have confused you with my post.Your link shows the FGR4B. I can't confirm it has 2 ports, only seen it for the non-B version. I don't have the B version.
Replacing just one with a longer antenna like your link and having it stick up high into the air will increase the range.
The FGR4 v2 has 2 connectors on the pcb yes. I have 2 on mine.my apologies @rotauq, i may have confused you with my post.
i am aware of the dual antenna in the fgr4B which is why i pictured it and asked if that was the rx needed for the range improvement instead of the as issued with the N4B, fgr4 V2, which has only one antenna and product description states one antenna, but from this thread content people are testing the fgr4 v2 on range tests with an extra supplemental 600mm antenna, suggesting that the receiver fgr4 V2 has facility for a second antenna attachment on the pcb, saying to fit dual antenna when it only has one, eg: by adding a longer 600mm eg antenna in ADDITION to the standard and factory antenna, this is why i asked for more clarification on this rx fgr4 V2 as i have not seen inside one and no one has uploaded any pics of the actual fitment of an extra antenna or shown pics of the mod or the fgr4 v2 pcb apart from saying it works, which i do not disbelieve, i just need to know if the fgr4 v2 has facility for the second antenna.
I just don't want to order the nb4 with stock fgr4 v2 wait 3 weeks for postage then find out i actually need the fgr4B and be waiting for another 3 weeks for postage, i live in Western Australia mate, its not like i can just go to a hobby shop in my state capital and buy this stuff.
@LicketySplit sorry to drop you in it mate, maybe you can help with this??
Yes it has two ports. I removed the stock antenna and used 2 longer antennas.my apologies @rotauq, i may have confused you with my post.
