Simple "leftovers" job.

Picked up a little 1/14th scale Associated Reflex 14t this week which will be here tomorrow. Luckily my extra clear body I ordered came a day earlier than the car so i can get it all painted and ready tonight.

Decided to just use some of my old tamiya cans I had laying around so it's getting a bright green top with metallic blue bottom, black dividing stripe, and I figured I'd try something new out. Experimented with the saran wrap marble effect on a spare piece of lexan but just didn't like how it was looking nor did I have appropriate colors for it to look good. I had this near useless can of tamiya orange that I and many others seem to have had issues with major running and bleeding under tape with so I figured I'd try the "splatter" effect where you just spray the end of a brush and then "whip" it at the car making nice droplets and splatters.
Waiting for the green to dry to I can peel the blue tape and spray the blue. More pics soon.

That thing is looking pretty unique man, reminds me of traxxas' hawaiian bodies... just yours looks a lot better!

Once the black dries I'll peel the top layer and sticker this bad boy up and make it like like a reeee-acin' car.

Is that the stock body?
I've been tempted a few times to buy the Truggy and pit it against my LC Racing truggy.

I picked up an extra clear body for it. They are less than $20 so I said the heck with it. I like my cars having their own look. first "upgrade" I do with any RTR is grab a clear body and paint it.

Actual car came today. It's a little beast and I love it. Can't wait to bring it to the indoor carpet track tomorrow night.

Could prob trim it to fit if the wheelbase is close. I'm not even using the body pins on mine and velcro'd it.

Gotta remember, it's also the 14b buggy. The 14b is the same exact car except for the buggy body. I guess it would either be a really big 1/14 scale buggy or a really small 1/14 truggy

Speaking of, I really am loving this little thing and I kind of want to get the buggy too just to have two of them for a friend to race with me.
