Damn ok because I’m tired of breaking my plastic skid plates on my granite I’ve broke them 2 times now on the rear and also broke my chassis once

I make wear plates for my RC's out of steel flat stock I pick up at lowes. I just figure out where they are hitting the bottom the most when launching out of the skate park, then put a steel plate there. They usually last at least a season or more. I bevel the leading edge and countersink the screws a large amount and usually use longer screws to make up the difference.

My outcast:

I have them on all my revo's too as they will grind through the rear skid and lose the stupid hinge pins within one bash session. Alloy skids lasted a few bash sessions. The steel plate lasts about a year and the actual skid never burns through.

My brushless revo rear:

As you can tell, I don't pay much attention to the "look" of them. All I care about protecting the skids/chassis.
