Was looking to get notorious or Kraton 6s new v6, guys kinda talked me bc out of Notorious but still thinking about it, so I got to hobby shop and see sledge on sale for 599.99, same price as arrma and they tell me it will be more durable, arms, chassis and out drives or cvds whatever you want to call them, also said a lot of guys had to replace chassis on Kraton, so wondering if someone has both and your opinions on this.

Although the arms may be more durable on the sledge most other plastics will be very comparable. You will struggle keeping any type of mesh on your pinion because the motor mount set up on the sledge is terrible and the real only true way of fixing it is with aftermarket parts.

If your not really jumping or sending it then it might not be an issue but even smaller jumps will eventually lose mesh in which case you won’t even have time to break out drives. The sledge also has one of the worst servos I’ve ever seen come on a rtr.

I own a Sledge, they're a big step down from any 6s Arrma out of the box. My recommendation is to go with a Notorious or Kraton. They're the trucks that originally caught your interest and their good choices.

The 1st thing I addressed was the servo. The Sledge is a very solid machine. I don't think the moter mount will give you a problem. 👀

I loved the Kraton v5. Had one for a year. Just got the V6. Love it even more. Steering system is greatly improved. But I've never used Traxxas, so I can't compare. One consideration: How many versions of Sledge have there been? Kraton is on its 6th. But I think whatever you decide, you'll be happy. :)

I would say I will definitely be jumping it, I'm looking for what's gonna be best out of the box durability wise and something I don't have to upgrade right away, I know the chassis ain't cheap for the Kraton, is the new version a big improvement, I will probably be jumping on grass, not at a skatepark, I wasn't even looking at the sledge till they recommended it at the hobby shop with the sale price.

My Sledge bent up pretty fast. The aluminum is really soft. I think a V5 BLX is a tougher truck.
My Sledge held up so far. The aluminum parts work well for me. Good luck. 😁 .

Don't know if it makes a difference in your recommendation but I have a revo 2.0 and just picked up a redcat Valkyrie MT, so would want something different?

I don't like that I would have to change the connectors on the sledge, but not really a big deal, but I would definitely like to jump and flip the truck and thinking maybe the belted tires wouldn't be so good, I would probably be jumping it most of the time in my yard and rip it around also, I have a track but it would be a little to big for it so definitely not looking for track type vehicle, just some bashing fun

Noto or K6 exb. 😁 .

So correct me if I'm wrong but does the arrma have hardened gears now that should not be an issue and is Traxxas using the same type of gears which is kinda a pressed metal which is not as strong?

I believe they are comparable. I kinda have a few more machines than I need. Hard to keep up. 🤣 . The Noto to is my current favorite, for fun, and its really hard to break. If you want a big smile on your face, and you like wheelies, go Noto. .

Can you whip the noto around high speed on grass or is it hard to keep it from pulling wheelies, I'm kinda drawn to it for some reason, it's like I really want it out the Kraton would be the more sensible choice but than I think I can do speed runs on the grass with the Valkyrie and the noto would be a different treat

Agreed. the Noto is a stunt truck and the K6 is listed as a speed truck.
