Put a fan on the BLX185 2050kv motor? I'm not going to be running it on 6s, just 4s so I don't think I will need a fan but I will keep an eye on temps.

I figured you thought it was a different motor. I also changed out the esc fan on the Max8 for one of these puppies https://www.ebay.com/itm/133647739706 you can actually feel the fan sucking in and blowing out air from a good 3-4 inches away much much better airflow than the stocker.
