So this isn't a true build, but I did build a Po-Po shell. And yes, it is for my Traxxas Slash. Get over it! 😂😂

So I started off getting the pre-painted black shell, a light bar, lights and a siren. After further reasearch, I determined I'd rather have lights that plug directly into the receiver so I can control them with my tx. The initial one I bought did not offer that option. So I purchased a Deluxe Police kit that had all the lights and light bar and plugs into receiver.

I found pics of MD state police cars online. All the car stickers (headlights, taillights and windshield) I made and are from an actual MD State Police car. I think the windshield turned out great! You can even see a car in the background.

Added some more stickers to make it fun! ;)(y)

On to the lights. They were pretty easy to install. Punch the holes.....pop light socket in and then bulbs. I did make a few holes too big, but I was planning on Shoo-Gluing em all anyway to keep em in place. That worked out very well.

The box the lights connect in has several different light combos you can use. Some on, some off, some pulsating, etc. I got it all set up, shoo-glued and cleaned up the wires.

The siren I had a hell of a time with as I could not get my rx to turn it on and off. It was constantly on. So did some research and came across the RC on/off switch relay. That's what I needed for the siren!! I also got 2 extensions for the receiver so I wouldn't have to open receiver box everytime I wanted to use the Po-Po shell. Labeled one for siren and one for lights.

The speaker works well, but I need to play around with it's placement as it is not very loud now. I will most likely punch some holes, like a speaker, into the shell so the sound shoots out.

I can control the lights and siren separately from my rx!!! That was my main goal! Only dislike is the roof bar light always defaults to selection 1 after you turn lights off, so if I want the fast blinking lights or another option, I have to click button on it to change it while lights are on. O well.

Had some fun running it last night. At the very end of the night video I flipped it (you can hear my wife yell out-it was funny), landed on it's roof and no damage to light bar and all lights stayed in their sockets!!

Enjoy!! 😁✌️

Badass. I've found that the silver "aluminum" tape for ducting sticks to our painted lids very well.
Dang, I got some of that too! :ROFLMAO:O well, the black Gorilla tape is working well. Thanks for the info though!! (y) ✌️
O yeah.....and the front bumper blocks the headlights so might get an RPM one as it's smaller. 🤷‍♂️ 😁

This is cool
04.30m, 5.15m 👍
I so love drifting. An Infraction, Felony or EX07 would probably cost me my life savings on tires🤣
Now that's a cop car!!! Sweeeet!!! And man, I wanna make a drift track like that! 😂

I dig the MD State Trooper motif, but it helps that i'm also from MD. Heh. Looks great though, especially with the lights and siren going. Good work!
Thanks!! Appreciate it! Had to represent the Old Line State!! (y) 😁

You'd probably love my Terps Typhon too! ;)

Where abouts in MD you located?

The offroad ones are JConcepts Magmas. Only used em once so far on my track and they gripped pretty well on the dirt.
