Getting ready to swap motors and I assumed that the heat sink and fan combo would just slide off once motor is removed. It seems to be on there pretty tight so any tricks?

it just slides on, give a decent whack and it'll break free and start to move.

Edit. - I usually twist the heatsink on the motor while it is still mounted to make sure it is loose before removing the motor

IIRC, there is no heat sink compound, so you just slide it off. I was able to reuse the heatsink and fan combo on the Surpass 3670/2850 motor I bought to replace the stock motor - it slid on the new motor perfectly.

It likely just has fine particle dirt wedged between it and will need some force to break it free.

Thank you again for the response. Once it is mounted you can definitely twist the heat sink just hard to get grip on the motor while it’s off
