Solder type

Hey all,
Trying to tie up a few loose ends in some rare time off, tidying up wiring etc,
What do u guys use for solder wire?
Types, size, codes, part no, brands, ease of use etc.

I use Kester 60/40 rosin core solder, usually.

Whatever 1mm I can get my hand on that is high in lead. Remember to use flux as well as it makes a big difference

same here stay away from lead free - it just doesn't work properly for this sort of application

So 60/40 1mm, is a tinning pot worth using? I'll watch a few yt vids I think, at least I know what type of solder to get now?

I've not found a tinning pot to be necessary when working with wires up to 10 gauge. It just takes a little longer
