Issue: when the Granite slides on it's shell for 10 metres on concrete, the front body mounts get wasted.

I've browsed the forum and cannot see anyone else finding a similar fix for this issue... I've seen people putting metal/steel caps on top for protection.

Solution: simply reverse the orientation of the front posts and drill new holes in the shell. I've yet to test this, as a try to avoid sliding on the lid at high speed (as we all do), but it won't appear that the posts are close enough to the windshield that they do not come into contact with the ground. Fingers crossed.

So now you get a destroyed body? ?
Haha, yeah... There is that issue too. I'll mount some little ski's on the roof and hood so I can go the distance upside down. Lol

The orange one is my basher body, but it's got holes in its arse so Red may need to take Orange's place ?

I've had the same body posts on mine since I bought it in September. I just got much better with putting it on the roof. I also run a lot more in the dirt so that helps.

Oh I see, I'm mostly on blacktop and less on grass. I can't find any suitable dirt in my area.... Speed runs are wicked fun against my mate's Outcast.... Until you clip tyres and then it becomes a skiing contest (on the roof, that is). On a side note, a 6S outcast struggles to keep all 4 wheels down in a straight line so my Granite often takes the chequered flag!

I have gone thru several body posts due to this issue and I like your thinking! I really wanted some kinda metal cap that would give off sparks!!
