Got a clicking sound, sounds more like a loud clacking, coming from the rear diff...haven't pullled it yet to check it out.

Makes noise under battery power. Pushing with your hand there is no noise. Thinking I busted a gear or something. I pulled the motor to inspect it and center diff...all good there. Narrowed it down to the rear diff.

Any thoughts? I'll tear into it tomorrow.

Sounds like the crown gear. Check for chipped and/or rounded teeth.

Couldn't wait... so here is my conclusion, please correct me if I am wrong.

Found the rear of the chassis had bent flat or a little downward. It should have a slight upward bend to it. This downward bend repositioned the read diff...pulling it away from the pinion gear. Eventually the two gear wore each down to the point of my clacking issue. And I just ordered some stuff from JRC like 20 mins ago...didn't even think to wait.

Sounds like its time for the M2C Goliath boys!

Thoughts?

Yeah looks like you got it figured out. I like to just keep a extra diff ready to go at home just in case. Bash on brother ??

Ordered one a few weeks ago to have on hand if needed...it paid off. Just need to change the oil and put it back in.

Animal!

Yep same thing happened to mine in the front after a mega wheelie, bought a complete rebuild kit, so at least I have some spares.
Id love to rebuild the one that was damaged but I can buy a whole diff and case from JRC for 25 bucks...the crown gear alone is 19. I am glad I had one on hand though!

Yeah, going to buy whole f/r bulkheads from jrc to keep on hand. Plan on buying that new m2c brace @bicketybam just released a vid on. And I want those new pivot cups too! Was about to buy a V4 front end with the cvds and hubs, but heard the V4 o-rings don't hold up. My left front lower pivot ball was cross threaded, along with a steering turnbuckle, you could see plastic threads hanging out when it was new. Was gonna contact Horizon to see if they would have sent new ones, but they're cheap anyways. Haven't had one break (yet) but my right lower pivot cup backs out after every run. ?

Yes, I agree. Gonna order a few more from JRC to build up my stock. Also going to get the m2c chassis...was hoping they were making shock towers too but didnt see any.

My front diff had the same issue, now i'm wondering if my chassis bent too ? front diff teeth were grinded down. Input gear seem to be ok.
