So I've been putting a couple 1/10 speedcars back together an really having a hard time deciding on a motor...outa the 5,6 motors think I've picked 1 for swb ..I like to do things different than others..so I'm going with a TP3650-3080KV. 2Y...heres stats compared to a tp4050-3080kv 2y I thought where very interesting.
On swb I'm going for a ultra lightweight setup.save 75ish grams with 36mm..this motor is good for 5s..typo on page..
If guys have hit 100mph on stock 36×60 firma 3900kv I belive good #s can happen with smaller setups.find out.

I hit 105 with the smaller 3s motor, but heat was a brutal issue. A big difference in the two you show is the max volts. I went with the 4050/3200 simply because I can work back up to 6s without running into rpm issues and probably staying a bit cooler because of it.

I think you can see some good numbers with that motor on 4s I believe you can get 5500watts of power and probably see around 115-120mph on good gearing. Go for it buddy
Like Notorious said, heat may be more of a factor on that motor, so gearing is crucial

If temps allow ill be hitting this motor 6s..very surprised how the firma 3900kv has handled overvolting.also surprised how similar the 40×82 & 36×84 motor are.36mm handles more volts????

Check out some of the #s Mike's running with a tp3640 on a light setup running parallel

I w been following his runs.it’s a stout motor for its size

This car will be a least a lb lighter also.its soon small

Last season I ran 1000+-gram 56mm motors an ride was 12+lbs,tore up everything, rear diff housing, went aluminum, then center shafts,cups....smacking motors an braces.....this year I'm going lighter with cars, more swb, less volts.do some learning instead of 8s $hit show ..🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑 like last season

I was looking at the 310 amp max 4060cm 3480kv,but heavier than than I wanted for swb..can't wait to see how these 2 pole motors run..they have really low max amps on them.
