Hi there,

i was wondering if anyone has mounted one or two spare tires on their Mojave? If so how did you do it? Im looking to buy a mojave because of the accessability in terms of repairs and maintenance. Id love a scale Baja Truck but i also like to be able to get it apart quick and easy. So for the scale factor i was wondering if there is a possibility to mount spare tires in the back? Probably changing rear shocks or the oil because of the weight change? Anyone did something like that? Id be glad for any suggestions or help.

Cheers

(Edit: some of the spelling)

My buddy mounted one, he just zip tied it to the louvers on the rear window area but obviously that's not the best way, he just wanted to get it on there

Buy A Traxasss UDR if you want the "Look" of Spare tire(s) on it.:giggle: And Even the UDR has rear end issues with weight. Some even remove the spares.
The Mojave will NOT benefit from the added weight at the rear.(n)
Unless you plan on Not driving it... a Shelf Queen.
Wait till you have one in hand and start driving it before modding the Mojave. Great rig. My Favorite.
You will be busy setting it up and learning how to drive it first. Many other things to sort out first being a new rig for you and all.

Out the box it is nicely balanced as it is. Plush shocks and springs etc. Handles like the real thing. It is heavy. Body is also much of the weight. It is 1/7 scale.

It isn't a BIG Air basher, if that is what you plan on doing with it. It drives like a scale SCT/Desert Racer. Small jumps etc.
Nice choice in a rig.
Yes I have one.

Yeah like @SrC said. Buy a udr for the looks and scale driving, buy a mojave to beat on it and have fun. I have 2 complete mojaves, 2 i'm working on, and 2 more to get started on :ROFLMAO: Most of the udr's stay on the shelf. well in my case on the washer/dryer/table/spare bedroom bed/on top mojave boxes...

You are the UDR and Mojave poster child for sure.
Love your rigs there. You don't play around...:giggle:

I plan on doing a dual tire carrier for the rear once I have my paddles mounted, are you guys sure your not just needing to tune your suspension in order to deal with the weight...??
My 6s Mojave runs a 8s setup and I can't ever keep the front end down so I fabricated a wheelie bar from square steel stock (1/2" solid) and it weighs more than the 2 tires Im looking to ad, all I've done to get it running like normal is tune the suspension, there is other shocks out there with harder spring rates if the adjustment on your shocks isn't enough but I don't find the added weight to handle to much differently, it dose however effect the jumps I find its much more stable if you left off throttle, it takes more to rotate it in the air, as long as it leaves the jump nicely it sails perfectly through the air and lands even better
