Spectrum firma ESC mounting tabs fall apart very easily. Any suggestions or advice?

I have probably gone through three or four different spectrum firma ESC’s because of the mounting tabs that essentially fall apart. Wondering if I am doing something wrong or if this is the nature of that product? One thing that I just realized that might be causing it is up until now, I’ve been cleaning the ESC‘s with straight simple green undiluted, and also putting a layer of WD-40 silicone on the ESC‘s. Not sure if that would cause those plastic tabs to crack and fall apart? Any advice would be great I’m tired of purchasing new ones because I cannot mount them without the tabs. Thanks in advance.

The petroleum in WD-40 spray Will soften/weaken the hard plastic of the ESC casing..
Especially when there's just a small amount of plastic for the tabs...

I've never used it; is WD-40 silicone just silicone spray, under their brand? Or is it also WD-40, with the silicone?

With apologies for being unfamiliar with the tabs, is there a chance that you could add something like a piece of metal to the ESC, to act as the broken tabs, and epoxy that to the ESC, or secure it with double-sided foam tape, something like that?

I've also heard that undiluted simple green can weaken the plastic. I think it may have been @razorrc

I’m not positive but I believe it’s a silicone spray with the WD-40 branding

I personally don’t think those tabs are a necessity. A good tape like the one below holds great, even with heavy bashing. You can also loop a long zip tie around it all to help.

I run mine on the Vendetta, which requires the mounting tabs to mount it right in front of the motor. It is not a flat surface, so unfortunately, tape would not work. The last ESC I had to replace the power switch, literally fell all apart which again in the Vendetta application that would not work. Thank you for your reply, however

The file below fixes that problem.

Know someone with a 3D printer? If not, PM me your address and I’ll send you one of these things for free.

That's awesome, and very nice of you. I don't have a broken ESC (thankfully), but I do have a 3D printer, and it's interesting to think about it as having uses for RC. My printer is currently not in-service, but I need to get it up and running again.

I know this might sound silly, but when I clicked on your username, I was not able to figure out how to send a message. It kept directing me to a different website where I had to fill out and create a profile. Not sure if that is correct or not. I appreciate you doing this for me.
