I was sitting this morning looking at the limitless set up. Currently running 2 40mm fans blowing onto the motor. ( running off a lipo ) and was thinking that all they fans will be doing for the most part is be circulating warm air from within the shell.

I was thinking about cutting an opening just behind the wheel and moving one of the 40mm fans so it is blowing the hot air outwards.

Has anyone done this before?

Was also thinking about getting the spare 40mm fan and installing it into the shell to blow cool air onto the motor. So one blowing air onto the motor and one blowing it out of the shell.

Thanks in advance

I’m not a fan of that style. I think blowing onto the motor is way more effective. There is no guarantee that the air that’s sucked out is going to pass over the motor. And even if it does pass over the motor, it’s still hot air. Now reverse the direction with your vent hole and you are forcing cool air directly onto the motor. This positive air pressure will also force hot air out too. Win-win.
