A few foams brands(not sweep) but bsr and gona banana's are capable of extreme high speeds without exploding. rubber becomes russian roulette above 125mph

And now I have BSR's to try. On that note, the guy who sold me the Sweeps on ebay is sending me a set no charge. Guess I'll give them a whirl on either the Granite or Typhon 3s. Sometimes things just have a way of working themselves out.

hello Guys!
I need some advice, ran my new Felony build today , Castle 2028/ 1100 kv motor, xlx2, 8s smc 5300/135c and........ she burned up! hit about 101 and poof flame up! gears are stock 46t diff and 41 pinion according to my gear app that should be around 100 ish mph! motor was barely warm but esc melted one of the esc connectors for the motor. did I over gear? does not seem to me but obviously it still burned up, burnt the receiver antenna, and one battery is now useless . any advice will be greatly appreciated. I have another xlx2 on hand but im now gun shy on the whole thing!
ps cannot read the logs as it wont load!

Sad to hear BobS. It's certainly not overgeared. Either a bad solder on the connectors or really bad luck with the ESC

yea, the connector i meant is the one on the esc which motor plugs into

Definitely start a warranty claim with Castle. My guess is they'll be able to access the logs and tell you what went wrong. Best case scenario they replace it. Worst case they give you a new one discounted for the core you sent in. When you checked your gear calculator, what was showing as the max rpm's possible on that set up?

@ Notoririous J at 4.25 volts which I know there is a drop and usually figure it at 3.75v on 8s 37400rpm, at 3.75v /6s 24749rpm. yep gonna send it back for sure and cross my fingers! lol

I'd guess where ever the hot spot was there was a loose ,weak joint..I've gotten them hot enough to desoder an fail.everytime it does that it damages the mosfets in esc till the inevitable happens..THATS WHAT CC TECH HAS TOLD ME

I've learned to always check for hot spots,restrictions.....

• Harder shocks in front, nose scrapes during braking

• ESC Brake up from 50 % to 60 - 70%
• 50Volt Capacitor Peakeater AB8-12s 12000uf
  
  ..... should add 30 km/h I guess without the capacitor
  Main problem is open flat space. That would be a burst of 8s fun. Would have to get rid of the XT90 for that and go with 5,5mm or 8mm gold connectors.
  
  Was not sure if I would enjoy the Limitless and got the MAX6 combo so that can go into the Mojave if I need something more powerful - if the speed bug bites me.

Cleaned up and ordered $110 parts/gps! Hopefully be back out this weekend Another guy I was with yesterday, had a blowout and hit a guardrail at 120mph

Packing up the T6 for the season. Got out yesterday for what was likely the last nice day here for a while. Car is all over the place at mid run. Shoots off in one direction as soon as I give a little extra throttle. Gonna tear it down completely, rebuild the difs and add new 20M fluid, and rebuild the shocks with new fluid. Hopefully I can figure out what the he!! happened between my easy 120 + passes in the summer and my recent constant failures. For those who have weather that allows them to continue on at this time of year, keep putting up those great numbers. Time to get my Kraton ready for some fun winter bashing.

Imo the torque from the big cans make it easier to put the power down on 8s,it's smoother. I'm gonna run till it's under 30 degrees

Dammit, esc an motor still look all good.i use a 3d printed gnss protector I got off ebay.strapped to wing mount. Has made it throu lots of crashs
