I thought it would be interesting to start a thread on TP Power motor choices as this is a common topic on the forum.
One thing to note is that a motor is excellent if it is around 90% efficient. For basher setups with light gearing, you can see RPMs around 90%+ of the advertised KV rating.

For the purposes of this list, I am posting around 78% efficiency, which is what I am finding to be a good ballpark for these motors running near their limits in a heavily loaded speed runner.
These numbers are reflected in the far right columns and may not be what you see in real-world testing, but match my data pretty closely while running a 1/7 scale at 99 mph on 2s and 3s around 124 mph. (both with parallel battery setups of 12-16aH)
In this scenario, I estimate around 3.4v per cell under a heavy 400-600 amp load.

I did mention in an other thread that <77% efficiency is the point where I draw the line. Sweetspot varies per motor but just below 80% seems accurate.
As my spot is only 400m i always have to push/take risk on breaking. Therefor 3.4v is hard to achieve and my ampdraw is always 15% higher than optimal.

I never got to finish my estimator tool, it only works partly. I do still log most of my runs. Yet it remains hard to compare as state of the vehicle/components can make a big difference. I don't log things like roll resistance friction, aero, battery resistance/temperature or tire wear.

My rpm to speed calc is very accurate, guess work on Vmin and efficiency i mostly base on the previous run + guessing the effect of the change i made.

Your table fixated sag to 3.4V, for me that's more of a variable. When you have plenty of road and perfect pre-heated batteries your estimate table seems good. My expected RPM set on a sample of yours (3200kv - 3S) matches 100%:

When i have no good reference point, and my mind is occupied with work, my guesswork can be completely off. Like with the 1721 so far

658.5A and 634.6A were a little too high, obviously dipping below 75%

Thanks for these comments and data points!
I agree, there are so many variables mostly around the person squeezing the trigger and how long the road/run is.
My wattage (mostly amperage) went down from the my 3s 114 mph run to my 124 mph run. The difference was the high speed run was at a better location, which provides an additional 500ft of road to use.

That Castle 1721 especially is known to need a slow trigger pull and long road.

And how much is a datapoint worth when i get weird artifacts like this one from today. Gitter on voltage with a extreme +5V bump does give exagerated readings. Something is either off with my esc or my 4p setup isnt clean enough. Esc does get pretty hot. (ambient temp was hot too)

I reconfigured my Infraction for track racing with the 4080 and I'm getting some incredible efficiency out of it on a conservative 20/46T gearing. On a single G-Ace 11,000mAh 4S battery I'm hitting a top speed of 55mph and at peak I'm getting 30,000rpm @15.3V. That's 1960KV from a 2022KV motor. I know that the RPM logging of Castle ESCs is only accurate to a certain extent and by extension would stipulate that it's probably not quite that high but it's still really impressive. I put the GPM +6mm wheel hexes on the rear and...I'm totally in love with how the car looks.

Love that car
I wish there were some local guys that we could do some parking lot track driving with several 1/7 cars.

With light gearing and minimal voltage sag the motors run 90+% efficient. Also secretly in the background castle is running adaptive timing to boost that performance in the higher rpm band.

Those are some funky logs. It would be interesting to swap the motor only and see what it looks like. Something seems wrong there.

Yeah, that would be awesome. This is the track I wanna take the car to. It's a nice facility. It's about a half hour drive from where I live.

This one was really extreme, others have been mild. It only happens when i have 3 or 4 batteries in parallel. 3p + cappack made hardly any difference...
