Spektrum 150a ESC Warning on Felony

So everything was working fine, then my Felony just stops in the middle of the road and every time I hit the acceleration or apply the brake, the car turns off and restarts, going through the initial start up procedure.. The steering works but the throttle does not.

Now I know there are plenty of forums around this, however, a few days of the car sitting around I try it again, same thing. I try with 2 x 3s batteries and 6s batteries.

It only started to happen when I bought new batteries, 2 x 3s HRB 6000mAh 11.1v 100c and I also bought 2 x 6s Youme Power 6500mAh 22.2v 80c.

I decided to rebind the transmitter, so I did this and then the throttle was working again, but only for a short period of time and then shut off and started restarting again every time in hit the accelerator or brake.

Now im using the Spektrum DX5C and I noticed that a warning ever so briefly pops up on the screen so I recorded this so I could see what the error / warning was. Please see the images attached.

Does anybody know what this means and if I have to buy a new ESC or?

Hello and Welcome!

I had an issue like this on one of my 6S bashers for my case. When I swapped my Firma 150A ESC v1, it resolved the issue.

Unfortunately that has not fixed the issue.. I have tried using a different receiver and transmitter, however the car just restarts instantly without even touching the steering or throttle.. I have noticed that on my Spektrum DX5C that on the main Home Screen, the brake is set to 100%, Could this be the reason why the car keeps resetting every time the throttle or brake is applied? If so, how do I get the brake to be initially at 0 instead of 100% because I even deleted all models on the transmitter and re added the receiver and model, but the acceleration works for one pull then shuts off and does the restart thing and the brake is again displaying 100% instead of being at 0% or neutral position.

No, that is not your problem. That merely displays the maximum brake force applied when you hit the brakes. 100% is the default and you can turn it down if you want less braking power.

I think you have a defective ESC. Email [email protected] for further troubleshooting and/or a free replacement if it’s under two years old.
