I'm new to the hobby and need some help understanding what I can do (and not do) for upgrades to my Senton 4X4 3S BLX 1/10 RTR Brushless Short Course Truck. I'm purchasing the Spektrum RC DX5C 5-Channel DSMR Surface Radio w/SR6100AT Receiver.

Senton 4X4 3S

  1. Can I use the Spektrum RC DX5C and SR6100AT Receiver?
  2. Do I need to replace the stock servo to a digital servo?
    1. If yes, what servo do I need?
Size comparison:
Type: SR6100AT AVC / Telemetry Receiver
Length: 42.4mm
Width: 23.9mm
Height: 15.1mm

Type: Spektrum RC SRX200 (STOCK PART)
Length: 35.8mm
Width: 23.6mm
Height: 14.3mm

Thanks in advance.

You need a digital servo and possibly check the dimensions so the receiver will fit in the housing , someone will hopefully have one installed already

The SR6100AT rx does not fit in the rx box. Not flat anyway, which is how I wanted it to be to have good access to the bind button and for the ant. to go into the stock tube. I cut the end of the box out facing the motor with a dremel. The 6100 is water proof anyway, plus I don't drive thru water, so I was fine with it.
