This was my first time painting an RC body. I used Tamiya spray paints (light blue, smoke, and white backer), and Mission Models airbrush paints for the splatter (fluorescent pink and purple). I'm pretty happy with how it turned out for my first try. Currently working on painting my 2wd buggy body to match.

I do have to say, I'm not very happy with how the body fits on the Slash. I used the pre-marked body post hole locations for the Slash, and while everything fits and tires clear, the body is very clearly sitting too far rearward. If I remove the front bumper, I could scoot the body forwards, but then I wouldn't be legal to race at the local track. I tried fitting the body OVER the front bumper, but then it's too high and too far forward. Oh well.

Man, that looks awesome. Reminds me of the paint jobs we were doing back in the 80's and 90's on our race rigs. Very cool.

👍👍👍👌👌👌👀

I drizzled the paint, then sprayed the light blue background. I experimented with dish soap, but that didn't achieve the effect I was going for
Turned out really well! Sharp!

Sweet paint job 😁👍

Mine looks like similar effect but that’s just brown muddy splats!
That's the way it should be!

Painted the 2wd buggy body to match. Had a little snafu with the liquid mask not peeling off cleanly for the windows, so had to do a little doctoring and ended up spraying the windows solid black. Not ideal, but oh well.
