So, i bought my son a Granite Voltage for Christmas. He ran it for 2 runs and one of the outdrives stripped. So, i upgraded to the metal ones. 2 more runs later, the spur gear stripped. So, i decided to email Horizon Hobbies and do a warranty claim. They responded back and denied my claim, said that the spur gear isn't covered under the warranty. I'm a little perturbed about it and am very disappointed with the Voltage. I've heard people rave about the customer service and ARRMA's claim to fame to replace parts. The voltage is poor quality and i'm so glad i bought it on sale at $60. Even then, it isnt worth that much from my point of view.
I thought i would share my experience, buyer beware.

Don’t be like me and keep upgrading the voltage. I’ve dropped too much money especially as the electronics started failing. It’s obviously worth replacing the $4 spur gear at this point, but I’d caution you against dumping more cash into it.

Cut your losses and buy a better platform.

What metal outdrives did you use?

I intend to keep repairing the 2 voltages my kids have.
