Spur in a modified motor

Has anyone switched out the stock mega spur for the 81t 48p spur in the mega for the bigger spur? I do have a 12t Titan for a motor.

81t spur and 18t pinion mad speed heat is an issue maybe... Ran it in mid day and both esc and motor hot, but it was in the 90's f ran again for the same time with about 20 degrees less. Much less heat issues going to run to the lhs tomorrow and get a few more pinions and try to dial this in.
