I've got the upgrade bug, and I've thought about the widemaxx steel CVD drive shafts. However, even though everyone complains the plastic ones break but I've never had a problem (and I've bashed hard too).

Also thought about steel spur gear to replace plastic one, but read the whole drivetrain is 6s rated, so I'll probably never need it.

Thoughts on these upgrades from maxx owners?

Mine is all stock and won't replace CVDs unless they start breaking. As far as steel spur gear, why replace unless it strips. If you want money to burn change out the stock esc with a Max6, first real upgrade IMO.

This is why I need your guys. That evil little upgrade monkey is always trying to get me to buy stuff! We need a support group. I need to get clean

My plastic drive shafts lasted quite a while running a Castle 6s set up. I’ve never stripped the factory gearing and I’ve done a lot of self righting which supposedly is terrible for them. Just rebuilt my v1 with a new longer chassis. Need to go over the diffs before Spring.
