Kraton Steering mod question

Loctite has not been saving my steering turnbuckle screws... Any thoughts on drilling them through and using a long screw and a lock nut? Just seems to me more practical... Any thoughts for or against?

It might lock up the steering links

But how? It's a solid metal ball on the v5 kraton screw goes in top and then it just hangs there.
