Arrma RC's
  1. Nero
Hi I have problem with my steering servo I think it's broken . I want to buy new one but I don't know to buy oem or buy some better aftermarket servo . Pleas help me

Just get this one and be done with it:

I currently have this one in my Nero:

The Holmes I bought for a new YetiXL I'm building, and it's better than the Hitec.

I should state that once you go this route, you'll start wishing the servo saver was stronger.

Which reminds me to ask, anyone find a better servo saver (pref aluminium) for the Nero?

That is to expensive. Can you recommend some cheaper one ?

Why do people replace the stock servo with aftermarket? I think the stock is pretty good, no?
I rebuilt stock 2 times in the kraton, the Nero just quit so I replace it with savox 1231sg lots of torque. I got mount for kraton from gka and upgraded to same servo in nero haven't had a problem since. servo saver is tight as it goes in both trucks. the stock is not bad but it is not awesome either...

As an RTR servo, they are better than most. Still, they are not great in the Truggies - too much tire for the torque the servo makes. Now that Arrma is packing an ESC with 6.0v (instead of the old 7.2v) the servo is slow too.

I ran the stock servo in my Talion (truggy) for a while. It worked OK, but struggled to turn quick when on the power. The gear train eventually wore out. I replaced it with a fast, high torque servo, and it make a HUGE difference for track driving. For bashing, the extra speed and power was still noticeable, but not as needed.

For the Typhon and Senton, for bashing duties., it is fine. For track running, it is slow. The new servo I just dropped in my Typhon actually has a bit less power than the stock servo, but is much faster. :)
