Arrma RC's
  1. Outcast 6s
I am installing the STRC chassis braces and center diff brace on my V4 Outcast and I've noted that the STRC version of the diff brace is a few millimeters shorter than the stock one and also prevents the stock gear cover from working as the bearing is captured in the STRC version as opposed to being sandwiched by the standard plastic gear cover. Has anyone else installed this on their V4? What was the solution to get it to fit? I can't seem to be able to post any pics or I would. TIA.

Do you have a link to the center diff brace? If it is this one http://www.teamstrc.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=226&product_id=2470 that is for the older model Outcast and will not work with the current version.

You might want to get in contact with STRC and make sure they are aware of this.

If you want the center diff mount this one is really nice https://practicalproto.com/collections/frontpage/products/arrma-v4-6s-blx-differential-mount

Looking at it more, I was able to make it work. The stock plastic bearing holder on the side of the new center brace was very slightly wider than the brace itself. I used my Dremel to shave down the plastic until I could screw the diff cover down and have it be level. I could add some washers or other spacers to firm it up, but I believe it will be sufficient.
I must have crossed the pic uploading threshold for this forum because it seems to work now. Photo dump:
