What would be the recommendation to grease the diffs (type, amount, etc.)?

Any marine/automotive grease but just a light coating around the ring gear

I use marine grease... many prefer red and tacky... on a completely dry diff I apply enough to fill every tooth of the ring gear while rotating it until I get back to the start, I do tear my rigs down after usually 6 packs though... just the method I've used for a long time.. everyone will have a different method.. the important part is there is grease in there...

Looks very similar to what I use, so I would say yes.

Success removing the axles with the drivers jondilly1974 suggested just waiting on Parts now.

I use hot racing diff grease. A couple blobs on the diff where the input pinion gear rides on the main gear.
