I just got finished successfully swapping some electronics from the Senton 223S and the Senton 3s.

The only hiccups I had were:

1. Both cars servos were opposite directions after the install. No big deal, but weird.

2. I needed a 3 pin extension chord for the fan since one car didn’t have that.

Otherwise everything was smooth.

Is the motor better in the 223s? What about the servo? I imagine the only downgrade was the 2 in 1 esc. Might as well keep the best parts in the new 223s (which I did hopefully).

Although I was careful to keep the 3 main motor wires plugged in the right place, I started rotating them when I noticed things were off with the servo. Do those cables matter with order as long as everything is running properly?

If you swap two motor wires on a sensorless brushless motor it just reverses motor direction. It doesn't really matter beyond that. Never ever ever do that on a sensored system though. To change motor direction on sensored systems (which is not on Senton) then you have to change in the ESC programming.

Motor is nearly the same as v3 on the 223s, just 100kv slower. The servo is noticeably better from what I understand on the 223s versus the v3, but I haven't tried it personally.

The 223s seems to have a much bigger fan on the motor as well. I should test the servos side by side. The new servo doesn’t seem as good as some of my other rigs, but it is fun to drive!
