Arrma RC's
  1. Typhon 6s
my stock wing is pretty beat. i bought a jconcepts finnisher wing and it looks nice and all but its pretty wide and as a result, running anything toher than GRP on road wheels, it doesn't work. part of me wants to widen the rear, but i also want to just get a smaller wing. any suggestions besides stock? the car is primarily a street basher and occasional offroad basher.

I always thought Arrma gave us a good few wing options, are none of them suitable?

i was trying to get something a little more unique for the car.

Understand that!

Seen a few cut and customise the Arrma ones or even the Traxxas E Revo wing.

Also there was a guy on RCtech who fitted carbon end plates to Arrma wings which look cool.

Or a custom CF one like GMballistic made for his Typhon?!

I've been through a few wings on my speed runner Typhon.

It was a bit too soft and flexible for speed runs so would bend down under high speed (100+mph). So it was replaced with my latest wing which as @Evil-T (thanks) mentioned is a custom carbon fibre one I made myself.

Another option is to look on Hobbyking as they have a lot of so called "universal" wings as well as some for other models which could be easily re-purposed for your Arrma.

Do you have the plans you used or sizes of your tail

Sorry for the slow reply.
I don't have plans for it no, ...I generally use cardboard templates but in this instance I just purchased a sheet of 3mm carbon fibre plate that was 200mm x 40mm for the main wing part. I then used some aluminium brackets I found on eBay at the time, cut in half they were the perfect fit for the side supports/winglets.
The side parts/winglets I made again from a sheet of carbon fibre plate (200x40x3mm) and I just made up the shape as I went.

Obviously you'll have to search yourself for materials and the brackets or similar if you want to make one yourself but it is a fairly straight forward thing to make.
Carbon fibre plate as example: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/32461178...2B9AfTfFpw%3D%3D|clp:2334524|tkp:BFBM2pTcx5Zf
Bracket as example: https://www.dllbmalls.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=529550

Hope that helps. (y)
