So I wasnt going to make a post but out of frustration I thought I'll see what you guys thinks and maybe share my experience so other don't have this issue in the future.
I bought a firma 150a esc and the 2050kv motor from Jenny's. I was seriously considering the hobbywing max6 combo with the 1650kv motor but because I just do some backyard bashing with my kraton exb I thought the cheaper spektrum option would suffice. The esc and motor was only put in thr truck mid November and had no issue. I run only 16t pinion and only light bashing.
Two days ago while doing some backyard driving the truck lost power about 5 minute in and burst into flames. It's burned through the body. Since the esc died I have no luck with any sort of warranty claim. Jenny doesn't cover HH or arrma say I based in Nee Zealand I have to contact my local dealer but the esc was bought in the United States so my hobby shop said it should be directed back at HH.
All this back and forth and blame shifting. I just feel with a two month old esc that was on fire no one actually asked what happened and with arrma being so big now I would have thought they would care about the quality of their product and would to investigate. But no just HH telling me to contact this or that place.
So I guess the lesson I learned is that to just get things from my local hobby store and that sometimes saving 20-30 bucks is not worth it as no one will help if there is a problem.
Here are some photos of my burned truck and esc.
