Hmm yea, well I just wanted to stiffen everything up a bit so it didn't bottom out so easily, or sag so close to the ground just under normal running conditions... so wanted to stiffen up whilst still maintaining good articulation - now it seems I've stiffened things up but lost that articulation, it's more of a bounce now (especially in the rear).

To be honest, most of my driving is on-road speed runs mixed with some grass blasting. Don't really do jumps or anything like that.
Well, it is a Talion. It is certainly more of a race setup, lower cg, lower ride height. The less ride height you have, the easier it is to bottom out. Ultimately, you can't get a design to do what it physically cannot do

I used them for bashing and street runs, I did trim a pair of the BigRock springs i.e. cut off a turn to get them lower. I use those for on road.
It's all about experimenting and dialing it in to your own taste.
