Anybody use these tires on a Talion? What are tour thoughts?

At that price, no bueno.
Suggest Backflip LP, they will turn it into a beast. Some say it's too heavy even with those, but you will have to make that call, I love it.

Can't see why I would pay $40 extra for a full set. I've never used them though.
Trenchers in general are the heaviest tires around and that is the biggest factor for a Talion, keep it as light as possible.

I have tried trenchers on my K8…..they balloon like crazy, funny because they are belted and I run 20 mill. As suggested above, the backflip LP’s seem perfect for the Talion.

When do you prefer LP's over Katars and vice versa?

I took my Katars off and never looked back. I do most my bashing on grass and do jumps.
Katars are not great for air control, i.e. they suck.
I'd probably go back to Katar on dirt type bashing.

I suggest reinforcing the hex like below, the rear will spin out due to higher traction.
