Looking to purchase a temperature gun, what is everyone using? Recommendations please...I don’t want to spend crazy money but also don’t want a cheap one...I did a quick forum search that wasn’t useful

I have an old Duratrax Flashpoint that I've had for 15 years and it's still going. It is compact and simple. https://www.amazon.com/Duratrax-Fla...A4/ref=mp_s_a_1_fkmrnull_1?crid=34UM30OH5061V
I always hear good things about the Duratrax temp gauge. Heck Harbor Freight even makes a clone of that particular temp gauge https://m.harborfreight.com/non-contact-pocket-thermometer-93983.html?utm_referrer=direct/not provided

I've been using this one for a long time now Idk why it doesn't show up on the Harbor Freight website I saw a stack of them at my local Harbor Freight the other day

I swear I've never changed the battery on that thing and it's been 15 years or so. If course, it sat in a box for 12 years while I took a hiatus from RC. Took it out when I resurrected my nitro and it works like a charm.

Here's my "I have this one and it's cheap and great" thread. Can get it off ebay or amazon cheap. $15 version of the dual laser mentioned above but I've never had an issue with it, and it seems to give accurate readings. I test it frequently in my hedgehog cage which has 100% accurate temps on the multiple thermometers in there. :)

Both are accurate. Both around $20.00
Ames I piced up at Harbor Freight.

I have a $12 harborfreight one that looks just like the Duratrax one, but black. And I have a $20 green one from Home Depot. Both work, but I use the HarborFreight one more, because it fits in my pocket.
Yeah I thought about buying the Duratrax knockoff one but I was like ooo this one has a laser on it.

I've had the same HF one forever and it always does a good job. I too like that it is small enough to keep in my pocket.
