Hi im running a typhon with 2.2 badlands with 18/50 gearing in grass. I always check temps every now and then but after the run my esc was at 110f/43c and motor was 150f/63c with no motor fans. Whats everyone thoughts on that. Thats pretty good isnt it still?. I know hobbywing says on there site esc 150f-176f and motor 194f/212f. I don't want it that high as i want some decent runtime still. Do you guys check esc temps from the side or the caps.

I do temp checks on several spots on the ESC and motor. Highest is normally the middle of the motor can, and the heat sink on the ESC. For temps, I hear the racers say to shoot for keeping the motor under 170f or so, and the ESC under 150f. Personally, I don't worry about my motor till I see it over 180f, or hitting 170 often.

I can run my 6s Notorious about 20 minutes on my battery pack. My motor temps usually do not get above 150F. It has a Spectrum motor and ESC. (SMART Gen2). It is running stock gearing.

my ambient temps now are around 100F.
