I’m with you. I’m not jumping in any self-driving vehicle with no controls or overrides that one would need should something go amiss. People that are comfortable with this prospect have way more faith than I do.
Deus ex machina? Ok, maybe. AI ex machina? Nope.
And just for the record, that evil voice you referred to will be that of Elon Musk, laughing maniacally, as he has already used the installed RFI system in the car to read and store all of the debit and credit card information of the unwitting passengers as they plummet to their deaths from your above mentioned bridge. The doors will be locked and sealed when you hit the water.

I will be damned to trust a computer to drive for me, that I only met a few days ago. . Will they come out with autonomis cars for NASCAR? No driver? Might as well just get a Nintendo. . OBTW, sounds like I might be stuck in my own ways. What I say to that is, you try it 1st. Let me know.

No. It's not like that. It's not about that.

You want to drive. then drive. But most people don't want to drive. Most people drive poorly. Most people work and server poorly.
