No, there was some limited VR monitoring and correcting for safety reasons and this preview was more about the Hardware.
edit: as info comes in, becoming obvious there was allot of intervention with Optimus There's lots of video surfacing of them getting stuck and pausing out and being controlled through it. It's interesting to see and somewhat funny. You can hear 2 distinctive AI conversations going on. One is AI the other guided human. Lots of laugher, must have been a good time. Next version of Optimus will be shown early next year. There are apparently about 50 of this version now.
The voice response and conversation are AI. Not a big surprise, there are already other talking AI's that are better.
Just like with Grok, they build in a personality and make it a little humorous. you can turn this on and off with Grok, if you don't like it. It makes me smile so I put it on.

It's truly an all-time first of its kind robot. There are others right behind them in tech but not with production intent.

The first company to produce production in-home robots - Wins and a big way. The Race is On! Tesla will likely win.

It's the Only reason I invest in TLSA. NOT for the Cars or the batteries or solar panels but for the Tesla-AI and Tesla Robots. They will make history.

I can foresee where he's going to take All these advancements..
He's Really going to colonize Mars and be able to do it with these autonomous Robots, Cars/Vans, Semis trucks and Starships.

Those are all the necessary "crews" & heavy equipment he'll need to have in place to develop the habitats before humans can possibly hope to survive there long term.
