Kraton Testing fan power

Normally I have been using a separate 3s battery to feed my fans. However this kind of sucks. Now I am altering a 3s balance lead to plug directly into my 6s battery. So far it’s working great. No charging or strapping in the separate battery. So far when I test my packs after a bash there is no noticeable difference between cells. I generally don’t run my trucks to LVC anyway. I can pretty much tell when I’m around 3.8-3.7v. I have also done away with the body reinforcing cage. With bash armor bodies there’s no need for it if I’m not tying a battery to it. Have any of you guys tried thi? If so what results did you have long term?

I can only guess that your rig performs better without that additional battery weight. Sounds like a great idea!
