I'm wanting to be able to test/bind receivers by just using a battery so I can test them as well as testing light kits, etc. Is it as simple as just getting a cable that has a Deans connector, etc to Servo connector? Does anybody actually make a test bench for this sort of thing?
or could i just use a Battery pack and use a servo connector on it?

Ok,I found the battery. It has a Hitec connector. I'm not sure what the X6FG Receiver uses? Looks like a Futaba.

Still learning the connector types. Is the Hitec connector going to work? or is it one of those things where a Hitec will work on a Futaba, but not the other way around?

Hitec connectors don't have a guide slot on the connector like a Futaba one does. But all you would need to do if the receiver does not have a place for the connectors with a slot just cut/trim the slot off.

Here's a couple links for examples of what said earlier

I just use spare escs to test things. You could just get a cheap brushed esc and use that with batteries you already have.
