After buying the castle sidewinder combo. Which ate a bearing first run and we haven't seen the rebuild parts after over a month.
Buying a dynamite fuze motor and it was doa out of the box. Hobbytown sold us a discontinued motor. My fault for not researching.
We ended up with a turnigy trackstar 80a sensored speed controller. A jrelecs 10.5t sensored motor. The metal transmission housing from a 3s which was 17.00 complete and new on ebay. The hot racing 91t spur gear and a 19t pinion gear. Adjustable dog bones from a 3s truck new on ebay for 7.00. Some all metal front shocks from amazon 16.00.
And now the truck is awesome. The motor was 30.00, the esc was 38.00 with programming card, the gears were 25.00, the 3s parts maybe totalled 24.00. Thats all you should need.
We are finally happy with the senton and it is reliable. The motor runs cool and has a huge 3s heatsink because it came with the transmission housing. If something else breaks ill report back but im sure it will be an abuse break if anything because the truck is quick, the sensored motor is smooth, the tuning is linear, and all the weak links are fixed.
