The Kraton 8s is underpriced..

I followed the first 2 times.... I never said anything about the 8s truck in the first place... I don't even know how this thread went in this direction. This is just annoying now.
It's all good, Brother ? I was just illustrating a point and you helped ?? I said

Imagine the reaction if someone the following:

"I don't see the point of a Kraton 6S. It's just a bigger version of my Kraton 4S and it brings nothing new to the table. I can do everything it can do with my 4S. Plus the 6S is $150 more and you don't even get sealed bearings!!! Unreal! The metal chassis bends. The shock towers bend. The steering plate bends. The shock rod ends break. The standoffs break. The center brace bends. You need to dump hundreds of dollars into it to make it bash worthy. I'll stick with my 4S, thank you very much."

How do you think that would go over? ??? Yet somehow the same argument is being used against the 8S. The 8S is so much better engineered than the 6S it's not even funny. And I love my 6S trucks. I'm just being honest.

Comparing the Kraton 6s to the 8s is like comparing a Mustang 5.0 to the same year Shelby GT500. You cant, yes they have similarities however both are very different vehicles. Both great vehicles, and owners pick which one they like. Again no right or wrong here, each can justify how much and what they spend their money on. As long ad it supports the hobby every benefits.

did they even make those cars in the same year?

When everyone was saying that about the 8s Kraton I kept thinking to myself "I hope you don't have a 1/8 or 1/10 rc car when you could get a 1/28 Associated car for $55 when 1/8 and 1/10 brings nothing else to the table but costing more money."

But I stayed out of it as I didn't want to get into it with the people that don't understand large scale and that it isn't cheap. For large scale the Kraton 8s actually appears to be a good value.

I do kind of wish that they wouldn't have called it a 1/5 scale though and called it a 1/6 as its smaller than pretty much every 1/5 scale vehicle I've seen.
If the 8S was $1,400., it would make all the cry babies and fraidy cats run away. True 1/5 scale is a very small niche of surface RC. As you get bigger in scale, there is no crying about price and durability. These are big toys for big boys with FAT wallets. These are just not 1/8 scale and cant be compared to anything smaller in scale. Laws of physics require a different design as the weight and size increases with a rig.
The faint of heart need not apply. Aside from this new 8S, has anyone here seriously looked at true 1/5 scale rigs and what is out there??? Pricewise and all...
I am sure some have. But probably not most of us. We are just looking closely at a 1/5 rig for the first time. Because it is an Arrma product, a new release that somehow people equate to the X-Max and everything else including the 6S Arrma lines.
