Just bought a new ESC and 2 new motors to try in the Talion.

Option 1 will gain 166 grams over the blx system

Option 2 will shed 34 grams over the blx system. Both much more powerful than stock so we’ll see how this plays out.

Ahh, but which ESC did you buy a MMX8/TPpower setup maybe ??

I’ve found no benefit to running the stock Talion hubs/axles.

Interesting. i havnt tried running Kraton hubs, but on paper this should have dramatic effect on handling, as you're moving from slight negative scrub to a substantialy positive one.

I run carbon fiber towers and home made braces. With the m2c chassis this brings to weight back to stock. Mine are 1/4” thick and still lighter then the aluminum towers. @Basherqueen makes some nice ones and they don’t cost a fortune either...
