Common with the v1, kinda like the Firma 150A hit or miss for long term durability.
Dosen't say, so I assume its V1, its actually just a few weeks old at best. That would make sense, it did have a delay... and it was cogging before it burnt. They G/R is 15-50, so I thought I had a rock in the gears and shook it out a few times. They are poop. Idk about the v2 tho. But the v1 had delay and caught fire

Been reliable for me expect in winter. Brakes sometimes don't work because of the cold. My main issue is the poopy colour and how it makes my noto feel undepowered and ofdCommon with the v1, kinda like the Firma 150A hit or miss for long term durability.

You Sir, are 100% spot on.
With that being said, what is your ESC recommendation ?
This car is a modified Vendetta, I run a short pinion because I have taller / wider tires. I'm not in to top speed runs, just faster acceleration and better cornering.
I have a few issues with other ESC's, and just thought I would try this one.
Thanks in advance.
Mike.
Aren't they on sale right now for $50?If you’re running 3s, you can look at the Quicrun 10BL120 G2 for 60 bucks. Has a 7.4v bec, 4s capable. I put one in my $150 infraction mega (thanks summer sale!), running on 3s and it’s a powerhouse.
The stock katars just aren’t the right tire for the infractions, already worn them down to bald! Back on topic..
If running higher than 3s, can’t go wrong with a Max8, or a Mamba Monster 2.
If you keep having ESC issues, rethink your pinion size. Not that these ESC's aren't to blame.Dosen't say, so I assume its V1, its actually just a few weeks old at best. Because of the taller tires, I run the motor & trans setup from a Senton, with a 16p 57 spur on 6s.If you keep having ESC issues, rethink your pinion size. Not that these ESC's aren't to blame.
I'd look to HW ESC's.
You generally pay for what you get with ESC's.![]()
I don't take this one out when its wet, I agree they don't seal anything well, and I usually bring a few cars out so I can let them cool down between runs.It does seem hit or miss, one thing is for sure, keep them away from water and moisture. Most don't seem waterproofed very well.
We still have a 60A Surpass V1 (white case) that is working fine. That one is pushing around an old T-maxx as well.

You fit a Firma 160 into a 3s platform? That is some talent!Because of the taller tires, I run the motor & trans setup from a Senton, with a 16p 57 spur on 6s.
I don't run this for top speed, I have it setup more for acceleration and cornering in small parking lots.
I'm going to try a few esc's that some of the nice gentleman here are recommending, I just stuck an extra Spectrum 160 in it from a Typhon 6s I had.

I will take a look into your suggestion.
Thanks man !

Max6/Firma 160 are excellent ESC's.
I know people that like using the Firma 150 in the 3S rigs (on 3s) since they will likely last forever there. I would still turn down the stock timing on the Firma 150 down to 0. Stock timing seems really high imo.
