Thoughts on best snow tires?

So this thread inspired me to try some snow chains and they worked great. I used #16 single jack and ran a cross peice every two links. This required around 15 feet of chain. They ended up VERY heavy but are super effective and did not give me any overheating issues. Snow wheelies and 20 foot roosts are effortless with blx power. Of course, if you loose too much speed, snow still packs under the chassis and the tires loose their bite. These also lead to pretty serious understeer so braking is required for any type of sharp turn. I will likely experiment next season with different options up front (skis?) to help with this.
