2 reason I was thinking M4 screw. 1. Weight of the fan (it’s heavy) 2. More area so the fan doesn’t rip off the ESC. This is why I’ve been thinking of just running my normal fan setup.the big fan is much heavier that’s why I’m thinking M4. I’m leaning towards the small fan and putting the big fan in my infraction. Might be better there anyway. What's your question?
M4 is too large imo. I did the same but can't remember what size I used. Can let you know tomorrow once I get to the shop though.
I used a 4-40, no issues:

So I went with M3 threads and it was a perfect fit. It’s tight enough I’d pickup the whole truck by it (but we won’t do that).Try M3. I think the holes are actually M2.5 from the factory. M4 might be too big cause on one side there’s a cap pack right under where the screw goes. Too big or too long of a screw and you can pierce the cap pack.
