Went bashing and must have caught a rock because my servo stopped working to turn right. I took it to the bench and ripped the servo apart, not super simple because you need to remove the ESC and esc mounting plates to loose the wires to the radio. Once I had the servo apart I saw only one of the gears was worn down so I spun it around so the worn spot wasn't making contact. That almost completely fixed it, I still had some grinding nose when turning the wheel all the way. I decided to put in a Traxxas receiver so I could connect it to my Bluetooth radio and I adjusted the turn rate. So far all is working good with it, the wires into the radio box won't fit now so I zip tied them above the chassis arm, I think I'll get a servo rebuild kit if I have any other issues but it's nice to have all my trucks on one radio.

I agree, many people strip the electronics in them and sell them to offset to cost of another electronics combo.

I've just fitted a Savox 1210. It's a HUGE upgrade over the stock unit and is still waterproof. If you're not after a waterproof unit, there are LOADS of options and everyone has their favourites.

Most mentioned:
- Hitec 7955TG
- Savox 1256
- Savox 1270

And others:
- Futaba
- KO
- Xpert
- JR
- TrackStar

etc.
