I got tossed from the Bay Side pump track today. I'm told there is an RC ban on all city pump tracks and dirt jump parks where I live. I was also told the trucks are dangerous. Nice.

Just so you all know, I never drive the pump tracks if there is anyone there, so this ain't me that caused this.

I hate these signs! 🤬

I've been kicked out of the skatepark before by some loser 50 year old skaters because they were trying to slant me as a "danger" (even though they weren't wearing helmets or any protective gear). We generally only go when there is next to no one there and we're ultra careful and stop driving if anyone at all rolls by (i also usually have my young son with me). After some negative experience with karen's and chad's, we decided only to go there when basically no one is there.

Everyone always claims "read the sign!" Even though there is no sign about RCs, and these certainly aren't motorized vehicles. My policy has always been just to be cool about it, let the other people look like the idiots and come back when they aren't around. I don't want to risk some karen with political ties to influence getting RCs banned at the local park.

Oh crap, that was me. I sneak in and usually get caught from time to time. Now there is a law????
I don't want to get arrested for playing with my Toy Car.
I been RCing on a Bicycle Veldrome banked track. For like 20 years. And usually get challenged there. I usually leave till no cyclists are there. usually it is empty. Got into bad scuffles over that. No signs say no RC cars, Just NO E bikes are allowed. One cyclist did not mind and was trying to pace my 70mph running Lim. I kept lapping him. He wanted to buy a Lim.

I drive at BMX parks as much as anyone. But it’s just common sense not to drive when people are riding their bikes there. It’s a BMX park, not an RC track.

I’d be pissed too if someone started riding their bike at my RC track.

Very good point.

A dirt bike is big and damages anything they ride against. Rc cars weight almost nothing compared to a dirt bike. Heck water does more damages than bikes.

Do you watch YouTube? Slamming an 8S 30lb car directly into the lip/face of a jump definitely f***s it up. Heck, watch some 1/8 racing, they have to fix the track everyday because it gets all jacked up just from pros driving on it.

IMO, riding a bike properly and riding on the jumps doesn't do a whole lot of damage. Watch some riders, there's hardly any dirt kicked up, compare that to cars kicking up huge dust clouds everywhere. Now if they bin it directly into the face of the jump, that 200lb+ is obviously going to mess them up.

The racers have been trying to build a track in my community for a decade. They lose support when they get to who gets to drive on it, "if you don't race you don't belong on the track". "IT'S MINE" syndrome runs deep up here in the North West. The skateboarders are the only group that's easy to get along with. I've been told there's at least one compilation video of my wipeouts on the skater Forum. Nice to see they have a sense of humor.

Entitled people. When you make something that is public as far as im concern anything that has wheels and goes decently fast could run on it. But common sense must still be used. If ya see people on bikes you shouldnt not put ur rc car in it. When its completely empty only
All the more reason for dedicated community rc tracks.
Governments wont be spending money for a minority community. I can tell you that. Surch as RC.il if they make something they will call them bmx tracks
