I have had real life bite me too, so I get where you are coming from...
Business is business. Sux for those of us struggling, but HH is not a charity.
But you have to face it. Companies like HH have a lot of bean counters that know very well how many Easy Pay customers didn't pay, and how much that cost them. With the move to the new system, all the risk is put on Affirm / the private party banks, and HH gets paid 100% of the time. Will some people get denied credit? Yes, but those were the ones most likely to not pay, so losing those sales (not really sales, but products lost for no money) helps more than hurts.Unfortunately not everyone has perfect credit and this was fantastic. Now they’re using 3rd party “big banks” who are super picky on who they lend to even with decent credit at times. What a shame- They have no clue how much this will hurt them in the long run…
