So the Tp motors are new to me. I’m thinking of buying the tp motor 3650 1950kv from someone for a fair price brand new. But I have no idea what scale to put it in. Any feedback would be nice. I have a big rock and a Talion. And will the Hobbywing max8 esc work fine with it..

That would be a lot of motor for the Big Rock. Prepare for broken parts if you go that route.

It’s definitely more powerful than the stock Talion motor. Maybe 20-30% more.

Max8 will probably handle it okay as long as you don’t gear it to the moon.

Thanx for the response. Well my big rock actually isn’t a big rock anymore. Lol. It’s a speed car now. I have a Talion body on it.

That motor is small for a Talion, the 1/8 Arrma's use a 40 series motor.
It would fit in your BigRock but it's too short to be that effective torque wise, it would still be a better motor than the stock Arrma..!!

It’s a TP 3650.

Not a 36mm x 50mm motor.

It’s rated for 4500 watts. I believe the stock Talion motor is in the 3000-3500 range.

So I’ll probably just pass on buying it. And save my money on something else

Yes I know it's not a 36mm x 50mm, I just don't believe it's good enough for a 1/8 as almost all would use a 40mm can.
I own quite a few TpPower motors in various sizes, that motor you quote is powerful but not really suited to 1/8.

That makes sense. Thanks. I have no experience with TP so I was simply going off the wattage rating.

It would turn your BigRock into a crazed wheelie machine, use the Max8 should be fine, or any of the 3s Arrma lineup (y)
(Granite maybe too short for it to fit)

According to TP, that motor is more powerful than their 40x73mm motor. Doesn’t that mean it’s more powerful than a stock Talion motor?

This is my formally known as my Big Rock. I was planning on putting it this. With a Hobbywing Max8 esc

I run a tp 4050 2100 kv in my Typhon 3s with a 150a spektrum esc on 4s and it rips. That 3650 would RIP in your bigrock. I had to upgrade my diffs to metal ones though.
