The TLR SC is no slouch for sure. The contender at the track. The Tekno .3 was updated pretty good. Has the all same adjustability as the TLR. Albeit done differently. The Tekno is forward weight bias. Some like the feel of that. The Tekno uses the same SCTE wheel offset as the TLR SC 3.0. Tekno doesn't come with a body, but the kit is less$$. Both great rigs IMO.
TA got away from SC these days. They just offer a SC to appease their loyalists. IMO. And SC doesn't have much competition these days. TA parts in general are rarely found in LHS'. Parts train is soft. Not a big seller. Tracks that race SC usually do. So it depends where you live. TLR is probably most popular right now. But Tekno always follows close. Competition wise.

We own a B6.1 buggy , it is set up for stock class ( 17.5 ) , we barely use it , SC is our fav . We race on Fri nights at my LHS/track , SC is hit or miss , sometimes only 3,4 or 5 trucks show up , other nights 10-12 , which breaks it into 2 heats/mains . Trophy races , there are def 12-15 , maybe 5 in 4wd SC . Most don't care for 2wd SC because they don't handle like the buggies/stadium trucks . We like them for the challenge of now trying to make a SC go around the track and handle as best as possible , we have gotten our 2wd SC's to get around the track as fast/laps of the buggies bottom A main / top of the B . So it is fun in practice sessions when we are lapping buggies !!! LOL
Noticed some of locals at our place that got into SC , gave up and sold them off because they were getting frustrated cause they were not getting the results they expected . Driving a buggy to me is way easier .
