Got inspired by the TpParts Taliphon.
Thought to give truggifying another try (last time I ended up with a MT).

Currently it has:
  • Typhon pre-2018 chassis
  • Talion 2018 shock towers
  • Trackstar 1/8 shocks (front 90mm, rear 106mm)
  • V1 Kraton hubs + hexes
  • 2.8 badlands
  • BLX motor 2050 KV, Quicrun 150A ESC, Turnigy GT5 radio/receiver, DS3218 servo
  • phazeone mini rear bumper @front and skid plate @rear
  • Mugen center drive shafts
Still trying to find a nice body and thinking about some additional holes in the shock towers...

How do you like those drive shafts in the center? Are they better than the standard input cup?

Not too sure.

Fact is, they are lighter than the stock dogbones, but might also be weaker.

I drove the thing when it was still more Typhon.
Didn't notice a difference (may be a bit quieter).

However, I like working on my cars (propably more than driving) and I hate when the dogbones fall out of the car and I have to try to put them back into the diff input cups... won't happen with those parts.

I like the idea of those. Quieter, and easier to deal with. My only question would be what you mentioned. I wonder if they would be weaker. Do you have a part number for those?

Finally had some time to fill the shocks.
Suspension seems bouncy, but 'Im not sure how to fix it.

Springs too stiff? Oil too heavy or too light?
Could it be just the tires?

Do you have any advice?

Ok, that is thick!

What kind of pistons are in the shocks?

Maybe it is too think / heavy and the arms are just flexing? Instead of dropping it, just squish it down and let go, does it rise in around 0.5-1.0 second? Or does it just spring up?

Unfortunately I forgot to take a closer look at the pistons.
Should be the standard BSR Pistons. 4 of the 8 holes are covered by this.

When pushing the rear down it took more than a second to rise... Front seems a bit faster.

Replaced the oil in the rear with some 600 CST (that's what I had at hand). Seems to be much better now.
