Anyone find a good adjustable turnbuckle that fits the granite mega? I got some hobby park ones and tho the steering is tighter, I'm at the limit both ways. Tops are extended all the way out and steering linkage is all the way in with no backing nuts. Not ideal and I'm pretty sure it won't last one race.

I'm converting this thing into a truggy if that helps
Thanks,

I used the traxxas ones - they have easy to replace ends and total cost $13 aud.
Part# 38-3644

I use these traxxas ones for both the turn buckles and for the steering. I find there is so much slop in the whole steering arms, I cant get it to run straight without constantly trimming on long straight runs.

I got my hands on the 3644. The local shop did not have the 2443. The balls are skinnier than the stock ones. How did you overcome this issue?

I got the 3644, the local shop did not have the 2443, but the balls are much skinnier than the stock ones (9.5mm). How did you overcome this issue? Also, I too, am experiencing a LOT of slop in the steering. If I wiggle the wheels left and right, I can see every link moving back to the servo arm.

I put tiny washers to shim the difference.

Oh i forgot i replaced the tiny balls with the balls from a stock traxxas shock absorber ball. This came off a stampede. Not sure what the part number is for this but im sure your lhs has them for a few bucks. The arrma ones are too big. The traxxas ones are an almost perfect fit. I only had to shim the upper mount connecting to the diff casing. 1 washer and its real tight.

To get them out without breaking them i used a large pair of long nose pliers held the 2 ends and slowly popped them out. don't try and pound on it it might break. Do the same thing in reverse to pop them in. Good luck! Let me know if you have other questions. move the plastic part not the pliers. the pliers are only there to hold it in place.

I think the slop is in the steering is caused by the wiper arm assembly, i read that fast eddy is making ball bearings for this so I hope it tightens up the steering.

My steering linkage is sloppy as all get out, I will be looking into some new adjustable links myself.

I meant I use the 36 mm for the steering ar330471 and traxxas ball ends yes some slop is gone
